Our friends at Elmwood Park Zoo hosted an amazing Read Across America event on Saturday, February 26. Former Fox29 News personality Janet Zappala read from her new book Guapo’s Giant Heart while EPZ employees introduced donkeys Pickles and Jenny to the crowd.
The highlight of the day was introducing our One Book One Norristown author - Lorene Cary - to our Norristown community. She read aloud from two of her books: Free! and The Price of a Child.
Lorene signed books and talked to all of the guests. It was a true honor to have her in our community.
We are so luck to have a partner like Lorene. She is gracious with her time and energy, she is an amazing artist and activist, and she cares about our Norristown community. She is so excited to be part of OBON!
